IPAF Members Help Light Up London
Two
IPAF members were on hand to help get London's Christmas lights
shine out for another year. Training Company Kingfisher
Access Services supplied the operator to manoeuvre the scissor
lift, supplied by SGB, into position in front of Selfridges Oxford
Street store.
Mayor
Ken Livingstone was joined on the platform by five of Britain's
Olympic medalists from this years games to turn on this years lights
- and promote London's 2012 Olympic bid.
Rochester-based Kingfisher has training centres in Hornchurch,
Essex, Telford, Shropshire, Poplar, London, Letchworth, Hertfordshire, Bristol and Glasgow. They specialise in operator training for access platforms
used in film, broadcast and entertainment events in addition to
undertaking many other forms of work at height training. The highly qualified 'operator' for
the job was Brian Phillips - actually one of Kingfisher's IPAF Instructors.
