IPAF Members Help Light Up London

Kingfisher Access' IPAF Instructor, Brian phillips, drives a scissor lift down Oxford streetTwo IPAF members were on hand to help get London's Christmas lights shine out for another year. Training Company Kingfisher Access Services supplied the operator to manoeuvre the scissor lift, supplied by SGB, into position in front of Selfridges Oxford Street store.

Mayor of London, Ken Livingston,switches on the Christmas lights in Oxford StreetMayor Ken Livingstone was joined on the platform by five of Britain's Olympic medalists from this years games to turn on this years lights - and promote London's 2012 Olympic bid.

Rochester-based Kingfisher has training centres in Hornchurch, Essex, Telford, Shropshire, Poplar, London, Letchworth, Hertfordshire, Bristol and Glasgow. They specialise in operator training for access platforms used in film, broadcast and entertainment events in addition to undertaking many other forms of work at height training. The highly qualified 'operator' for the job was Brian Phillips - actually one of Kingfisher's IPAF Instructors.
