The management and selection of safety harnesses and associated equipment.
Course objectives
To enable a delegate to identify the intended use of common items of fall protection equipment, requirements for pre use inspection and correct fitting and adjustment of a full body harness.

All those in your organisation responsible for the management of the use of fall protection equipment for working at height.

- Legislation
- Mechanics of a fall
- Selection of fall protection equipment (includes common hazards associated with different equipment types) - includes practical exercise
- Pre-use inspection and statutory inspection requirements
- Anchor points and devices
- Donning a harness - includes practical demonstration
- Storage care and maintenance
- Rescue requirements and options
- Theory test papers (multiple choice)

Training methods
Lectures, printed course material, hands on equipment, practical demonstration, and pre-use inspection demonstration.
Certification
Successful delegate will receive a KINGFISHER ACCESS/RIDGEGEAR Competency certificate

No requirements due to classroom based training
Course duration
Safety harness training courses for managers are one day (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm).
Availability / Location
We can offer a choice of off-site training locations throughout the UK, or, subject to suitable facilities and equipment being available, the training can be conducted on your premises.
